September with the Herrera's

Making Smiles is the name we have given to our feeding program. We feed between 75-150 kids each week. We started this new things once we returned from the States. We purchased some Bible story/coloring books. Each week we give each child a paper. They are asked to take it home learn the Bible verse and color the picture for the following week. We hang the pictures up in the church, have the kids recite the verse and they win a prize. The church is growing and there are more kids that attend than adults. We are so blessed to be a part of the feeding program. It is a time for the kids to be fed physically and spiritually. What a priveledge. We would like to thank all the teams that have come over the past 2 and half years that we have been holding the feeding program. The teams have come and painted, poured concrete, put roofs on, made benches, brought clothes and toys, fed the kids, and loved on them. The Bible says yet that you have done to the least of these my brother you have done unto me. So, on behalf of all the kids in La Candela, Carroquinterro and Pino dos, "muchas gracias".

Rolando just returned yesterday from a 4-day trip to the banana plantation. He stayed in a tent outside the humble home of a pastor friend (Wilburth). He was able to hold 3 feeding programs while in the area. He saw more than 10 people receive the Lord. It was a great time and the Pastor was encouraged by all the people who attended the meetings. Rolando was able to preach and showed 2 evangelical movies too.

Rolando is now in El Salvador coordinating a possible Country-wide prison outreach. Please pray that his time there is very fruitful and he gets everything accomplished he set forth to get accomplished and the Lord gives him favor. He will return Friday evening.

Please continue to pray for Cindy (Holly's mom) to have a full recovery from her surgery and good reports from her biopsy.

Dylon is now 3 years old going on 10. He is really growing right before our eyes. He talks to the new baby in Holly's belly. He wants a boy not a girl, and he wants him to be yellow, because he thinks his skin is yellow and wants the baby to look yellow like him. He misses his aunts (his Brookie too), uncles, cousins and grandparents a lot these days. He wants everyone to see the baby.

Holly is 3 months pregnant now. The baby is doing great, we still do not know the sex of the baby, but we already have names picked out. Please continue to pray for a good pregnancy and an easy delivery for Holly.
